Dear Parents, Guardians and Students/Annwyl Rhieni, Gwarchodwyr a Myfyrwyr

Year 11 Prom

This week, we kick off with glitz, glamour, sequins and sparkle. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the Year 11 prom so special on Friday 28th June. Thank you to everyone who donated to and supported our sustainable prom store. It was a fabulous night and very well deserved for our hard working Year 11 students as a conclusion of an exhausting exam season and 5 glorious years of high school life!

As always, it was an incredibly inclusive evening and you all looked amazing.

We can’t wait to see you on GCSE results day on 22nd August to celebrate with you. In the meantime, I bring you an amazing montage of photos from the evening…most of which were taken by the very talented Will Landricombe…

Year 13 leavers ball…

On Friday 21st June we said farewell (until Results Day) to our Year 13 students. It is always a fabulous evening, if not a little bittersweet. The students have worked very hard over the last 2 years, particularly in the last few months in the run up to their exams, and deserved this farewell evening, but of course we will miss seeing them around. A number of staff attended the event at the Park Plaza Hotel in the city centre for a 3-course dinner and dance. The students had pulled out all the stops and looked so glamorous. Their behaviour throughout the evening was exemplary and we were so proud of all of them. We wish them the best of luck and can’t wait to celebrate with them in August when they get their results.

Whilst we’ve got our glad rags on, we would also like to congratulate Isabella Bevan from Year 10 Isabella has just returned from Dublin were she competed for Wales (KLA Dance) in the Irish National Championships.  Stunning photographs!

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, we’ve packed our sequins away for another year.  But we’ve had plenty more to keep us busy.

This week has been a busy one, and next week is looking very similar. I look forward to bringing you more news and updates.

Thank you for reading/Diolch am ddarllen,
